Communication
In a leadership role it is extremely important that you are able to communicate clearly. In my current position I am constantly creating videos, drafting emails, writing “how-to” guides, and much more. This assignment required me to create three podcasts about a particular subject. It only made sense that I chose something that I work with and provide training for on a daily basis; Google Apps for Education. As a Google for Education Certified Trainer, I jump at every chance I get to make connections with Google Apps and the classroom. I chose to talk about three ways a person could use them in the classroom.
Communication is a vital characteristic to have as a leader and this assignment demonstrated to me how it is not something that is always easy to do. In order for you to hone your communication skill set it needs to be practiced and continually be developed. Things like creating podcasts allow a leader to do just so.

Google Apps for Education Podcast Series
Google Apps for Education offers a variety of apps all for free! The district I currently work for is an all Google District and as an Instructional technology specialist it is my job to instruct teachers on how they can use these tools to enhance their instruction.
The following podcasts do not detail out step by step on how to use the tools described, instead they talk about the potential of these apps and how teachers can take advantage of them. These podcasts will provide teachers with the direction they need to use these tools effectively in their own classrooms. They will provide a list of benefits to using the app as well as tips and suggestions for the implementation process. Click the buttons below to get started.
Episode 1- Creating Digital Portfolios in Google Drive
Episode 2- Enhanced Collaboration in Google Docs
