Blended Learning Implementation: A Strategic Change
In this assignment I was tasked with creating a strategic change plan based on the Cambell's Guidelines for change. It was not supposed be professional development about the topic or change, but a true plan about how this change was going to be implemented. The idea of creating a strategic change is overwhelming and bit frightening for me, but Campbell's Guidelines for change provided a solid framework in which to do so.
Sparking true change is not an easy task. Nor will it happen overnight. I really appreciated this assignment because it outlined the framework and mindset that must be present for these types of changes to take place. Just like when a teacher plans and prepares a lesson for his/her students, he/she is going to do whatever it takes so that all the students will learn it. This same approach must be taken when a change initiative is involved. Change without support is frustrating for people and will not bring about change. This assignment was so beneficial and worthwhile for me because it brought structure to an abstract and somewhat difficult idea or scenario.
